Cookies and HTML5 local storage information

Last updated: 07th August 2015

Cookies are small text files on your computer that can remember things about you, like your preferences, usernames, passwords and any other things the website owner wants to remember about you. There are two types of cookies, session cookies, and cookies with an expiration date. Session cookies are removed when you close your browser, and cookies with expiration dates are removed when the expiration date is reached.

Local storage and session storage objects work a lot like cookies. Session storage objects are removed when you close your browser, but local storage objects are never automatically removed.

Cookies and local storage objects are not used on this site.
